SAN BERNARDINO, CA- #19 Cypress men's basketball traveled to #3 San Bernardino Valley College for Round 2 of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs. SBVC (24-5) was tough competition for the Chargers as they came out victorious, 73-56. 

Ramiah Adedigba was a bright spot on offense for Cypress as went 9-for-9 from the free-throw line and totaled 18 points. Trent Goldmann scored 12 points while knocking down two three-pointers and Grant Sii also reached double figures with 10 points. Nijel Jones was the leading rebounder off the bench with 7 followed by Adedigba who had 6. Dominique Daniels was the leading scorer for SBVC totaling 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting. 

The Chargers offense sputtered out of the gate and started in a 10-0 hole. Tommie Flanagan sunk a jumper to get Cypress on the board with 14:11 to go in the half, but San Bernardino's hot shooting extended their lead to 15 points in the first nine minutes. The Chargers went on a 9-0 run late in the second half with the help of a couple timely three-pointers by Trent Goldmann. Cypress trailed by six heading into halftime, 34-28.

San Bernardino came out strong in the second half scoring seven straight points and continuing to build their lead. With 13 minutes to play they stretched their lead to twenty points, 50-30. After shooting 29% in the second half, Cypress ran out of gas and saw their season come to a close. SBVC advanced to Round 3 of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs with 73-56 win over the Chargers. 

Cypress has a lot to build on after winning their first playoff game in 24 years. The Chargers will see a substantial amount of key pieces returning for the 2022-23 season and will carry this momentum into next year.
