SANTA MONICA, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors women's soccer team lost their first game of the season in a 2-0 loss against Santa Monica at Corsair Field on Friday afternoon.
The Corsairs (2-0) were able to extract some revenge on the Warriors (2-1) after El Camino won a playoff game there last season in the 2021 CCCAA Southern California postseason tournament.
Santa Monica scored a goal in each half and outshot the Warriors 13-to-10.
Karlee Clark made three saves in goal for the Warriors while her counterpart Johana Ventureno made five saves.
The Warriors will head to Palomar College for their next game on Tuesday, September 6th. Kick-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
