COMPTON, Calif. - The El Camino College women's soccer team battled to their second consecutive draw with a 1-1 stalemate at Compton on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors (2-4-3) picked up their fourth positive result in a row (Draw-Win-Draw-Draw). The Tartars move to 3-1-3 for the season.
Mariana Garcia scored the only goal for the Warriors, her first of the season in the 86th minute. Jennifer Lopez scored for Compton in the 13th minute of the game.
The Warriors outshot the Tartars 12-to-3 and 8 shots on goal compared to the Tartars 2 shots on goal. The Warriors also had 4 corner kicks to the Tartars zero. Kelly Gallagher started in goal for the Warriors and was credited with two saves. Jasmine Garcia started in goal for the Warriors and made five saves.
The Warriors return home on Friday, October 4th for a home tilt vs Cerritos College. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM
