CRC Hawks (2-4) vs. Lassen (1-4)

Ukiah, Calif – Cosumnes River (2-4) used balanced scoring and an inspired defensive mindset to control the game versus Lassen (1-4). With a mix of man and zone defense throughout the entire game, this kept Lassen off balance and out of sync. Freshman sharp shooter Adam Orr hit 8 threes and finished with a season-high 25 points. The Hawks other knockdown shooter Yaadvir Dhaliwal finished with 10 points and 5 assists.

In this matchup, the game went back-and-forth for most of the first half. However, after a drive, score, and made free-throw by sophomore starting guard Brandon Gray to take a 30-29 lead with 4:05 in the half, the Hawks never trailed the rest of the contest. The next two possessions, Dhaliwal and Orr hit back-to-back threes to break open the lead. The Hawks went on a 12-0 run to end the half at 46-36.

Cosumnes River used solid defense to create turnovers and fastbreak opportunities to extend their lead for good and finished with a convincing 95-75 victory.
