The FLC women's basketball team nearly pulled off a stunning upset on Tuesday night when they fell to the #4 ranked team in California by just three points, 66-63 at Diablo Valley College. The Falcons (10-7 overall, 1-2 in Big 8) kept the Vikings (12-2, 2-0) in check throughout the game, trailing by just one point at halftime and also after three quarters. The Vikings, however, found a way to win at home as they held off the determined Falcons.
Sophomore guard Shay Boley recorded a double-double while leading the Falcons in both scoring (19 points) and rebounds (11), while freshman forward Mo Peters added 12 points. The Falcons hope to even their Big 8 record when they host Cosumnes River (5-11, 0-3 in Big 8) on Thursday night at Falcon Gym.
