TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors women's soccer team made their return to the pitch on Tuesday, August 31st for their first game since the 2019 season. The Warriors (0-1) fell by a score of 1-0 against the visiting Irvine Valley College Lasers (1-1).
The Warriors outshot the Lasers 16-12 but only 2 shots were on goal. Julia Ausland had two opportunities to score, one in each half but hit the crossbar both times. The breakthrough came in the 69th minute when IVC's Yvonne Ventura scored the only goal of the game.
The Warriors played two goalies for the game with each getting one half of playing time. Karlee Clark started the game and made two saves. Mckenna Morey played the second half and made four saves.
