Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Vanessa Hughes paced the Falcon offense in the team's 64-56 win over Merritt on Friday evening.

Hughes scored a team-high 17 points with six rebounds and three steals. Freshman Zaire Brown counted a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards, adding a pair of steals, while freshman guard Lexi Derf put up 14 points off the bench.

Solano was edged in the second quarter, heading into the break down by three, but easily rebounded in the second half to hold on for the win.

The Falcons (14-9, 9-2) head on the road to Marin next on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
