Ben Fleming and Joel Nuñez scored five goals apiece to lead the West Valley men's water polo team to a convincing 24-9 win over De Anza Wednesday in Saratoga. Seven players scored for the Vikings (7-9, 3-1 Coast), who sprinted out to a 14-4 halftime lead and were never threatened. Miguel Navarro tallied four goals, two assists and a steal, while Jack Carlson and Inego Gonzalez each had three goals. Sina Faridnia and Jimmy Gordon rounded out the WVC scoring with one goal each. The Vikings close out the regular season Oct. 30 against Las Positas (6-17, 1-3) at the West Valley Aquatics Center. The ball drops at 3:00pm.
