MSJC's #15 Alonzo Diaz started on the mound Saturday helping the Eagle baseball team to a 14-4 home win over Imperial Valley.

The MSJC baseball team jumped out to an 11-0 lead after four innings on Saturday and cruised home with a 14-4 win over visiting Imperial Valley College in a non-conference game.

The Eagles jumped out of the gates with four runs in the bottom of the first inning as John Huelskamp got the offense going with a two run single that scored Peter Brooks and Aaron HarperFabian Correa followed with an RBI triple.  MSJC would go on to score three more times in each the second and third innings to blow the game open.  In the second Joseph Hauck had a two run double while Harper also drove in a run.  Harper followed that up in the third with a two run double of his own and in the fourth catcher Simon Rangel added a run with a sacrifice fly.  Zane Neckar tripled in the 7th to drive in another Eagle run.

In all the Eagles had 10 hits on the day, led by two each from Harper and Neckar.  Brooks, Harper, Rangel, and Alfred Lopez all crossed the plate twice in the win.
