No. 2 in state Fullerton hosted Orange Coast College on Tuesday and gave the Pirates a 1-0 loss in an Orange Empire Conference game.
Fullerton's win helped them maintain their first place status in the OEC as well as their No.2 ranking in the state. FC's conference record now stands at 7-1-1 with an overall record 12-2-1. The Orange Coast loss lands them at 4-4-1 in the OEC and 6-6-3 overall.
The game's only goal came in the 12th minute when Fullerton's Marco Polo drove the ball past the Pirate's goalie with the assist coming from Steve Perez. FC had more chances to score throughout the game, but they were unable to convert due to OCC's solid coverage on defense.
FC goalie Kevan Rehmani grabbed his 5th shutout-win of the season with 3 saves in 90 minutes of play.
