(Walnut, CA) In the debut of Mt. SAC Women's Interim Soccer coach, Kristen Purper Long, the Mounties gave it their all in the season opener, but were edged 1-0 by Fullerton College.
The Mounties had five shots in the game and sophomore goaltender Jacqueline Botello had six saves, but to no avail as the Hornets made the lone goal standup.
Botello held Fullerton scoreless in the first half, but in the 63rd minute they broke the 0-0 tie with a goal.
The Mounties look to get in the win column on Friday as they host Lake Tahoe. Game time is 3:00 pm.
