Porterville closes season with 87-71 loss at Reedley

Sophomore Steven Ulloa saved his best game for last, scoring a career-high 19 points in the Porterville College's 87-71 season-ending loss at Reedley College on Saturday.

The Pirates trailed 44-34 at halftime and could never get momentum going on their side in the second.

Five players scored in double-figures for PC. Sophomore Carlos Angel totaled 14 points in his final game in a Pirates uniform while Elijah Cardenas, Jackson Cascio, and Jonah Ruckman each scored 11 points. Elijah Mascorro led Porterville with seven rebounds and added four assists.

Under head coach Rob Haynes, the Pirates closed out the 2017-18 season with a 7-18 overall record and went 2-12 in Central Valley Conference play to finish tied for seventh place.
