MiraCosta Beats City In Three Sets

In the first of two PCAC crossover games the MiraCosta women's volleyball team beat San Diego City College in three sets with the final scores of 25-13, 25-14 and 29-27.  The first two sets were dominated by the Spartan pin players, Halie Hess and Hayley Torres. Hess and Torres finished the match with 19 and 16 kills respectively.  The team hit a cumulative .343 with setter Kacy Hele distributing the ball for a total of 40 assists.

The third set was much closer with both teams exchanging leads and control.  Late in the game MiraCosta took the lead and finished the 3-0 win.

The Spartans will travel to San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday November 14th for the second crossover before starting the CCCAA State Playoffs.
