LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team was swept in three consecutive games to Citrus, losing to the Owls on Saturday, 8-7, at Marauder Stadium.
Of AVC's six losses in conference, two have come by one run and to more have come in extra innings.
The Marauders out hit the Owls, 18-12, however, Citrus rallied from a 7-6 deficit in the top of the ninth inning to score two runs and take the lead for good. Six different players had multiple hits for the Marauders, including Ethan Avant, Blake Leidholdt and Jorge Villalobos who each collected three hits.
Avant has been on a tear as of late going 9-for-16 in three games against Citrus.
