With two of the top men's tennis teams in Southern California squaring off against each other on Thursday, visiting College of the Desert posted a 7-2 win. The loss drops the Falcons to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play. The team will travel to El Camino College next Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in another conference match.

The top of both the singles and doubles ladder proved to be the strongest for the Falcons. Freshman Arthur Bellegy (Lycée Molière, France) played a role in both of the team's points, as he earned a 6-4, 6-1 singles win over Jared Thompkins at the top of the singles ladder. In doubles play, he and freshman Victor Bonsergent (Lycée Technologique Val de Saône, France) registered an 8-3 win in the #1 position over Thompkins and Raymundo Chavez Baez.

The match also served as a reunion for sophomore Saar Rogovski (Menacham Begin, Israel HS), who played for College of the Desert last season.

The Falcons were swept in the remaining five singles matches, with only freshman Michael Doria (La Serna HS) winning as many as four games in one set, as he suffered a 4-6, 2-6 loss in the #5 spot on the ladder. The #3 doubles team of freshmen Vincent Pascaud (Le Ferradou, France) and Luke Andrews (Columbine, CO HS) played well, but suffered an 8-5 loss.
