2020 CCCAA Convention canceled

SACRAMENTO – The California Community College Athletic Association announced on Friday the cancellation of its 2020 Annual Convention, scheduled for March 31-April 3 at the Doubletree by Hilton Ontario Airport, due to concerns with COVID-19.

The city of Ontario is in San Bernardino County which ordered on Thursday the immediate cancellation or postponement of gatherings of more than 250 people within the county until further notice, an order which would encompass the CCCAA Convention.

Refunds to registrants who have paid will be issued but will take at least four to six weeks. Additionally, reservations at the Doubletree by Hilton Ontario Airport can be canceled by calling the hotel directly at (909) 937-0900 or Hilton at 1-800-Hilton, or by using the Hilton app.

While the convention has been canceled, the Management Council Business Meeting, Vote on Legislation and the Board Meeting will still take place virtually with more information to follow. Inductees for the 2020 CCCAA Hall of Fame are being invited back for induction at next year’s ceremonies.
