Mt. San Antonio College Sets NATYCAA Cup Records
Sacramento, CA . . .The California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), in association with the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA), today released the final CCCAA standings of the 2014-15 NATYCAA Cup.
Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, CA) topped the final standings with a record shattering score of 187.5 points for their third NATYCAA Cup win in as many years. Last year Mt. SAC became the first school to win back-to-back NATYCAA Cup titles, they now are the first CCCAA school to win three in a row. To top it off, the Mounties set a new season high point total of 187.5 after adjustments, breaking a record they previously set during the 2012-13 season of 177.5. The 10 point jump is impressive to say the least for the now five time winners of the prestigious NATYCAA Cup, with each of their wins coming within the last seven years. Their previous titles came in the 2008-09, 2010-11, 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. Coming in second is Cerritos College (Norwalk, CA), with a total of 161.5 points. Placing third for the third year in a row was American River College (Sacramento, CA) with 152 points. Rounding out the top ten is Riverside City College (Riverside, CA), Fresno City College (Fresno, CA), Diablo Valley College (Pleasant Hill, CA), San Joaquin Delta College (Stockton, CA), Sierra College (Rocklin, CA), Golden West College (Huntington Beach, CA), and making their first appearance in the top ten is College of the Canyons (Santa Clarita, CA).

They came in third in men’s wrestling, fourth in men’s cross country, took third in regionals for women’s water polo as well as State finishes in men’s and women’s swim & dive and a regional quarterfinalist position in men’s basketball. Mt. San Antonio College has a strong history in the NATYCAA Cup placing in the top two in each of the last seven years and never placing below sixth in the awards 11 year history.
A college is awarded points based on its team’s final positions in post-conference competition. Each college’s top-five men’s and top-five women’s team results count toward the school’s overall point total.
