WELCOME!During the 2022-23 academic year, the CCCAA is honoring the passage of Title IX in 1972 by recognizing individuals whose efforts and legacy have helped further the legislation's impact on California Community College athletics. We will turn the spotlight on people who helped the fight for Title IX, have lived its ideals or who have benefitted from its legacy. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JENNIFER CARDONE REFLECTS ON THE MEANING OF TITLE IX Baseball and softball have been at the heart of Jennifer Cardone's athletic history, and she says it was fueled by Title IX. As she reflected in June 2022 on the anniversary of Title IX's passage, Cardone credits the law for her opportunities and for those she works for everyday in her role with the CCC. |
